    Submit to Microsoft SQL Server

I believe this is a common problem but I couldn't find a solution.

I set up a main data connection to my sql server and I get "submit status: Not allowed - a SQL JOIN statement was used". Firstly, why should this be a problem?

The thing I am confused about is I get this error even when I have only added one table. How can there be an JOIN when there is only one table?1?

     Many thanks,

     Harry

One thing while using a SQL table is that you must have a primary key field for InfoPath to submit to it.

Start simple and work your way up as you learn.

I am getting the same error but I am trying to have infopath submit data into an updatable view in SQL Server instead of directly to a table.  Is this allowed?  What do I need to do to get this to work?

Hello, I realize that is an old post, but did you ever work that out? I might be looking at the same issue. Regards, Paul.
