InfoPath Dev

Hi all,

Need help! Trying to build a form to connect to an access database. I'd like the submit button to send the information to the database, but not allow users to modify existing data. I've got fields that I have generated from the database, so I'm right on that one, but when I click the "submit" button, I'm getting the following error:

InfoPath cannot submit the form.
The form does not contain any new data to submit to the data source. 

I'm not understanding the concept of primary keys or queries, so I'm sure I've got issues there. I would imagine there's a simple step I'm missing, but I'm just not advanced enough to figure it out at this point.

You have to query the database first, even if it does not return anything.

Or you have to select the insert button to add a new record.

I would suggest you experiment with the default form and querying and submiting data.
