    Nifty ways to disable controls?

    Hello,

I have disabled all the textboxes in one view of my form.

I wish to disable all the other controls in the form (except for one or two)
(can this be done recursively by section?)

I see some posts about duplicate controls and hiding and viewing - but this would make 50 controls with 50 duplicate controls and all the hiding and showing code - this would be unmanageable and extremely ugly.

Are there any clean, neat, and easy to maintain ways of doing this?

I'm looking at onBeforeChange for radio buttons - but not sure what to put to make any changes to the option group undo themselves.

    Eric,

If you want to disable a control, you have to know the conditional under which you want the control to be disabled. Anyway you right click on the control, click properties at the bottom, click the Display tab at the top and click conditional formatting....then click ADD....then you have to determine the condition(s) you want to disable the control or other controls.....Try I did it worked for me...

    Thanks Michael,

Setting a condition 1=1 and than disabling or hiding the controls seems to do the trick.
