Custom Field Type Column does not appear in Receive Data Connection

I have created a custom field type & created a column in a sharepoint list using this field type. Now I go to Infopath 2007 & create a "Receive Data Connection" to this Sharepoint List. I can can see all the other columns in this list but not my custom field type column. Is there anything I am missing?
