Hi

i designed a form in infopath it has 2 views.view1,view2.I defiend rules but this forms publishing to sites.

1)first one i publihed this form site A

2)user will come and open this form's view 1.it has a send button if user filling this form and click send button form is sending site B and site B forms view must be view2  but view1 appears

how can solve this problem please help me

if is there another way with out code.only using rule.

You could another node to your data source, a boolean, and change your submit to use rules. Have the first rule set the boolean helper field to "true". Then, in your form open rules, set the condition that if that field is true, switch the form's view.

You can also accomplish this using User Roles, if you cannot adjust your data source for some reason. You can create a new role, and set it as initiator. Set View1 as your default, and then, in the form's open rules, if the user is not in the role you created, switch views.

I could not solve this problem.My send button is sending 2 sites.site a and site b.but when i opened site a i want to see view1 and i want to see view2  on site b.

i am publishing form to site a and first one i am filing the form after that i am clicking send button my rules are

1)send data site a

2)change view to view2

3)send data site b

but it could not.only i want to see view2 on site b.plz help me?

i dont know how can accomplish user roles can u explain me ?

Under Tools/User Roles you can create a user role by selecting the Add button. Give your role a name and select the check box next to "Set as initiator". Create a rule under Tools/Form Options/Open and Save and set the condition to if user's role is initiator and the action to switch views. Switch to the view you want to use on the site where the form is opened and filled out. Set your default view to the view you want to have available on the site you submit to.

Mind you -- if the form initiator goes to the site the form is submitted to and opens a form she initiated, the view will be that from site A.

Thank u so much Hilary believe me u saved my life.But there was another problem.If i am using user roles i must get out web browser harmoniousness check.i want to use my forms with webbrowser.Because if i use user roles all user pc must have infopath but i dont have enough lisence.Realy this is big problem how can open this form on web browser changing views

i want to user roles in my infopath form but this form must use web based.i dont want to load infopath to user pc.All forms must open wen based.How can establish or is there any way?
