how can i use xdExtension in browser-enabled Forms?

    Hi all,
i need for my IP2007 Formular the possibility to run some code bevor using
    rules.
For non-browser-enabled Forms there is a Workaround with
"xdExtension"-Namespace. This works fine for me but now i need
browser-enabled Forms with similar functionality in a Sharepoint-Server and
i'm getting an Errormessage about xdExtension namespace within the
    manifest.xsf.

Is there a workaround for browser-enabled Forms? or is it possible to
configure something getting the xdExtension-Workaround to work?

    Thank you.

    Hello, and welcome!

Could you post your error message? When I create a new, blank form in InfoPath 2007 and select Enable browser compatible features only the manifest.xsf does include teh xdExtension namespace....

Hello and Thanks for your reply. I think i have to tell some more details.

I'm working for an university and i got the task to program some administrator-frontend granting and withdraw roles to our 40.000 user as an infopath-formular.

It seemes for me that i can only use prepared tables and views (or stored procedures) to an infopath secondary-connection. I tried to use some normal views for my formular but infopath got very slow with rows from 6000 testuser. Thats why i tryied to personalize the SQL-Querys depending on some other fields in the formular.

With xdExtension i got the possibility to run one procedure for every secondary-data-connection and configure in these procedure the where-clause depending on the values of other formularfields.

All works fine for the formular hosting in infopath. if i now activate "browser-enabled Forms" the design-detective detects no errors. Due to the fact that i used code i cant publish my formular direct from infopath. The publishing process need the sharepoint central-administration to publish the formular. For this publishing-process the formular have to pass a "verify"-step bevor the upload takes place.

In this verify-step i got the error "Fehler beim Analysieren des folgenden Ausdrucks. Die Ursache ist ein Syntaxfehler oder die Verwendung eines nicht definierten Namespacepräfixes oder einer nicht unterstützten Funktion: xdExtension:OrgInfo_for_Account_abfragen() and false.". in english its something like "error on analysing the following expression. the errorcause could be a syntaxerror, a not defined namespaceprefix or a not provided function: xdExtension:OrgInfo_for_Account_abfragen() and false." The origin of this error is manifest.xsf.

Like you posted the xdextension namespace is automaticaly created in the manifest.xsf.

Greetings and thanks for some ideas.

Unfortunately, xdExtension is not supported in Browser Forms.
