okay i have a form that has a repeating table in it.
within the rep.table i have dropdowns (with selections excluding each other i.e. i select personA in dropdown 1, then i can´t select him in any following dropdown).
i have a "submit" button that saves the selected persons to a database in their own row.
now the problem:
i need to add an ID-value to the database.
but the value shall only be added to the selected persons, and to all of them.
okay for better understanding here the database-style:
before selection:
name------email------temp------ID
personA---Amail-------------------
personB---Bmail-------------------
personC---Cmail-------------------
after selection (personB and then personA) and submit:
name------email------temp------ID
personA---Amail-------------------
personB---Bmail-------------------
personC---Cmail-------------------
-------------------personB--------
-------------------personA--------
what i need now is anything that does this:
name------email------temp------ID
personA---Amail-------------------
personB---Bmail-------------------
personC---Cmail-------------------
-------------------personB-----ID B
-------------------personA-----ID A
i need this data, because another form uses this database to get selection alternatives given by preselected data.
(i.e. in form 2 i can only choose from data, that were already selected in form 1 - kinda validation method)
i don´t mind if the ID is added while selecting B and A, or afterwarts, per buttonclick or something.
the problem is, that i need to add a specific id to the chosen names, because they could be chosen again days later.
so: how can i add data in my database depending on selections made in my form, and add that data to a specific row in the database, that belong to the selected items before.
and while i´m already posting:
how can i delete specific data from my database per buttonclick?
