    I'm a newbie in infopath 2007. I made a student records GUI containing a textbox and a search button on top and text boxes below containing details about that person (age, birth, etc.). The user would fill up the topmost text box with the last name of the student and after clicking on search, the other records would be displayed. The question is, is there a way to access the records of a student without using code behind?

Hi There.

You do not need code to do this.

Just create a data connection to the data source which contains the student data.

Then you can filter that list to find the particular student and set fields based on their input.

 I have another question. I use MOSS to connect to the database but I always use code behind. Is your reply doable also when connecting to MOSS?
