    Query question

Hello,  I have created a form to gather information about the staff’s IT knowledge level into access database 2003. Say for example  1. Microsoft Word – with dropdown menu of “None” “Basic” “Intermediate” or “Advanced”2. Microsoft Excel – with dropdown menu of “None” “Basic” “Intermediate” or “Advanced”3. Microsoft Access – with dropdown menu of “None” “Basic” “Intermediate” or “Advanced”   I have successfully created a query which can output the profile of a staff with say “Intermediate” knowledge level in “Microsoft Word” by choosing from a drop down menu with “None” “Basic” “Intermediate” or “Advanced” in the query form.   But I want to create a new view which would output the profile of any staff irrespective of knowledge level in a particular knowledge area. Say for example, if in the query form, I created another drop down list item named “Any”, it should output every staff profile with either “Basic” “Intermediate” or “Advanced” level of “Microsoft Word”. How to I do this (as to exclude the “None” which is set as default)? Also how do I exclude fields from query, say for example I want to run query to find all the staff with “any” knowledge level in “Microsoft Word” and “Microsoft Access” but not interested in finding about “Microsoft Excel” knowledge level, which is set with the default “None”?  Thanks for your helpAputta

With database type forms you do not have much flexibility since the schema is automatically created.

I would probably make a view in Access of the information with software and profiicancy being the key index values.

Then create a seperate from based on this view and design it the way you want.

So a form for entry and collection then another form for analysis and lookup.
