How to use the "Submit Control Button" on a form

I have created a form template using InfoPath 2007 and would like to insert a Submit Button (from the Insert Control) at the bottom of the form.      Do I have to create a Data Source for this button    OR   Tools --> Submit Options --> Allow users to submit this form  ???

Your second option would put a button in the tool bar for submit.  The first option I would do.  You add the button and then create a data connection to sumbit to.

Can you clarify your response for me.  In order to insert the Submit Button onto the form template would I go to the "Controls Section" and drag the button onto the form and then create a "Data Source" for that button? I am having trouble creating the Data Source in this step since I need to "Add a Field or Group".  Under "Data Type" pull down what would I select??  Text(string), RIch Text(XHTML).........   Next Step, go to  Tools --> Data Connections.......... CORRECT.......???

    First add your button.

You would need to go to Tools and Data Connections and create your submit if this has not already been done.

Then set the button type for Rules

Go into Rules and add a rule with an action to submit and pick the approriate data connection.

With Rules you can set values and other logic as well as have multiple submits.

I typically disabled the basic submit options and the toolbar button so you can have your own control via rules.

How would you "insert a rule on submit that sets the field to this formula....." ?  I used the Insert Function Concat (Rank, LastName, StartDate) minus the seperating characters and get this error.

InfoPath can't submit the form.  An error occured while the form was being submitted.  The folder (directory path) does not exist.

I am thinking I need to CORRECTLY insert the rule. Correct ?  Do i go this way:  Submit Options Dialog Box --> Allow users to submit this form (check it) "Perform custom action using Rules" (click on Rules button).  On "Rules for Submitting Forms" Dialog Box click the Add button --> On "Rule" Dialog Box .....where do i go from here ??  I see a "Set Condition" and "Add Action" Button

I APPRECIATE YOUR HELP ON THIS....................
