Looking for infopath tutorial..new to infopath and Sharepoint

I have the pro infopath 2007 book from the library and it's pretty good. But it throws out ALOT of terms and assumes you know what they are.

I have a 1200 page infopath 2007 ebook from online but it gets WAY too indepth.

I'm new to infopath and using a sharepoint server online(not a moss server just services). The sharepoint server is striaght forward.

Creating forms in infopath is pretty straight forward and publishing them. But connecting the forms to a database for submitting info and queries are Foggy.

I love the 'for dummies' and 'Idiots guide' for stuff like this but there aren't any.

I'd like to know the Easiest way to setup a database on our sharepoint server online (I think we'll use sharepointhosting.com or something)

so we can store data, query records and use info in other areas for customers to login to see and trigger emails sent to people, and workflow forms and such.

Our forms are going to be very simple..nothing crazy really happening. Text, numbers, dates, attachment, etc..

     I'd really appreciate any help.

    THANKS,
    JT

Hey JT. Welcome to the forum.

Once you become an expert you need to write the Idiot's guide to InfoPath. :)

You are going to do this on a hosted server?

I would think you would want web services for interacting with your SQL data.

I could show you a demo of web services if you would like.  You can use the contact button to email me.

Hi Clay, I'm InfoPath Baby, I am learning InfoPath 2007 to graduate to InfoPath with Sharepoint 2010, and I am clueless...totally!  I could use some assistance... Thanks!
