IP 2003 with Visual Studio 2005

    Hi all,

I just installed VS2005, and on top of it Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition Runtime (VSTO 2005 SE) (x86).

Unfortunately I only see Infopath 2007 as project type, the 2003 section does not list IP 2003.

I browsed the forums, but couldn't find a solution that works for me. I tried installing the InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual Studio .NET , but when installing it claims i need to have an edition of Visual studio that includes visual Basic .Net or C# , plus asking for Infopath SP1 (although I ma on office 2003 SP2).

So my question is, how do I officially enable my VS2005 to develop IP2003 forms ?

    cheers

I believe there are two different VSTO versions, one for 2003 and one for 2007. I think you might have installed the wrong one.

You would need to investigate on Microsoft's site.

If I remember right, the 2003 version is harder to find. It was included before but now they are pushing the 2007 version.

In order to develop in VS2005 with InfoPath 2003 you need the toolkit which is only available to MSDN subscribers. This thread has more info: http://www.infopathdev.com/forums/p/5661/21210.aspx
