    Saving options.

    Hello,

I'm quite new to Infopath. I'm using MS office Infopath 2003. the task that i perform is as follows:

i'm designing a new form from Data source. My Data source is a XSD file. i create the template and save it.  It gets saved in .xsn format. then i fill the form and save it. its gets saved in a xml format. When i fill the form and submit for second time, it saves it in different .xml file. if i specify the same .xml file, it overwrites it. Can anyone tell me how i can override this behaviour. i want that whenever i fill and save the form it must be saved in the same xml file.

    Cheers,

    Swapna.

    Hi

If I understand you correctly you are trying to save the form with a specific name.xml in the same place but without overwriting it?

If this is the behaviour you desire then SharePoint would allow version control to allow the exactly same named file to save in the same place while still recording the old versions.

To force the name of the save file you could use code to SAVE with a specific name on a button such that you press the button it saves the form with the name specified in the code.

    I hope this helps

    Cheers
