How to achieve case-insensitive search in infop..?

I was working on one of the sample forms, where we have a search query function. We have records with data like "Infopath", when I enter "Infopath" and query for it I get the related records which has the keyword "Infopath".

If I enter "infopath" and query again I won't get any results.

Does XPath support case-insensitive search? and if yes how effective it would be, will there be any performance issue.

If not how to achieve case-insensitive?

    Thanks
    Santosh

Without knowing more about how this search function works I can only offer this:

    translate(yourField, "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ","abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz")
this will concert a field to all lower case. In a rule you can use it to convert both the search field and the records to all lower case thus being insensitive to case.
I'm no expert on performance but I wouldn't think there'd be much difference

ofcourse if your search function is done in code the solution would be coded a little different but it should be possible either way.
