    How to access InfoPath objects

    Hi All,

Trying to get started with InfoPath and SharePoint.  Here are my questions:

    1.  How do your access the field objects using the code behind? Assuming I am using Visual Studio 2005 have the necessary libraries installed (VSTO etc.)
    2. Inside IP, how do you auto populate fields  login user's profile?

    Thank in advance

Clarification: You don't access InfoPath objects (i.e. controls). You access XML DOM nodes. This requires knowing how to write code against the XML DOM. You can use JScript, VBScript, C#.NET or VB.NET for your code.

You use XPath to make selections of particular nodes (elements or attributes). Once you have a particular node, you can read or change its value.
