    Hi Anthony,

To do advanced reporting, handle fine-grained permissions and performance for many thousands of documents, you will also need to install a separate SQL Database. To interface your forms with that database, you will need a Web service. You can definitely get started with InfoPath and SharePoint only. Most initial form solutions use just InfoPath and SharePoint. As they mature, they move the data from SharePoint database into SQL and add the Web service to interface. If you are looking for a Web service, we provide a fee developer download Database Accelerator Web Service suite that will solve your eventual problem. It will definitely accelerate your solution development and save you a ton of money.
