    GetUserCollectionFromSite

I am trying to get users from a SharePoint site using GetUserCollectionFromSite in a dropdown list box. When I display the form the dropdown is blank. The instructions seemed pretty straight forward. I don't know think I missed anything. How can I test to see what I need to do to correct any problems? Everything seems to be in order though. I am stuck!

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jack,

    Here's some tips:

    • Make sure the data connection is being queried automatically when the form loads
    • Try dumping the dataFields straight onto the view to see if SharePoint returns anything back at all
    • Try querying from another client, like SoapUI, to see if you're sending the query correctly.

    Re: GetUserCollectionFromSite

    Hi Matt,

I set up a rule under form options to query the data connection dummy users onload event. I got some results but I don't know what it means. The results in the ddl were login1 and login2. I tried the users data connection and no such luck. Is this good or bad. What do I need to see the users of the SharePoint site?

    Thanks!

    Hi jeagly,

I'm not too versed in the arts of all of SharePoints web service methods, but I think you are on the right track.  You probably are downloading the Collection of users, and then you have to use that information to download from a filtered list of actual users.  You will have to consult the SharePoint SDK to make sure - good luck!
