    Attachment(base64binary) publish as site column

     Hello Folks,

Whenever i'd like to publish the template(which has Image Attachment(base64binary as datatype)), it showing following exception.

The selected field cannot be promoted because its datatype is not supported: base64binary

I'd appreciate if you folks can help me to resolve this problem - My requirement is, i need to publish attachment column into Forms Library as URL column.

    Please do the needful.

    Thanks

An attachment/picture control stores the attached file/image directly into the form XML after converting it to base64. This simply cannot be promoted. You could create a string field, copy the base64 value into that and then promote the string, but you wouldn't like the restults one bit.

You said you want to promote a URL. To what? Remember, the attachment is stored as text in the form XML file.
