    Hi. I'm not sure I understand your question... what exactly are you trying to do?

    It sounds like you have a secondary data source that the user enters values into, and you want those values to be in the main data source so that you can send the form (with those values included) via email to someone.

    If this is the case, you need to have some fields in the main data source where these values can go.

    If you need to have these fields in the main data source, then why are they now in a secondary data source?

    Re: Bind secondary data source to primary data source

    Hi Thierry,
    I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking "how we bind the text from a secondary data source to the main DOM"? Or, are you asking "how do we set default data using template.xml"? These are different questions.

    For the first: you can bind a dropdown to your main DOM (data source) and specify a secondary data source for lookup.

    For the second: you can edit the default sample data from within the designer. Go to Tools->Form Options->General->Edit Default Values.

    Hope this helps!

    Re: Bind secondary data source to primary data source

    hi,
    Thanks for your answer, so what I wan't to do is:

    my primary data source contain only 3 field (3 TEXTBOX for the moment) AND I have to populate it with an xml file (that is different every time) my probleme is that i can link my content of secondary data source (my 3 field)to my primary data source for that can be send by mail.
    I believe that you understand this time

    thanks

    P.S. Thanks patrick for you little advice about my signature I modify yet. Your signature is exceptional!!!

    Sounds like what you need to do is write some code in your OnLoad function which copies the values from your secondary data source to the main data source.

    <source>

    <av>titi</av>
    <av>tata</av>
    ...
    </source>
