    Multiple list boxes

Ok, I have a form that is used when a new user needs access. The hiring manager inputs the new users name and what they need (access to certain applications, hardware, and additional services).

I would like to make a list of Applications (probably about 15 choices), Hardware (probably about 5 choices), and Services (probably about 5 choices) that a user could check and have it be included in the email that get generated when the submit button is clicked.

For instacnce, if a user selects applications 1 (Outlook), 3(Word), and 5(Excel), I would like the email to include something like "Users needs access to Outlook, Word, Excel." Is this an easy way to do this? I was thinking I would have to write a bunch of "if" statements in the code to get this to work, but I was thinking there would have to be an easier way to do this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jared

    Hi Jaredhanks,

Just to clarify, are you saying that you don't want the actual InfoPath form that the user/hiring manager has filled out to be attached to the email? The email that InfoPath sends is simple email with just a little bit of customization available (at least what is easily available through the wizard in InfoPath).

The only things that can be customized thorugh the "data connections" wizard are the various recipients of the email, the subject line and the name of the form that is attached.

I'm not saying that what you want isn't impossible but I don't think it would be easier than just generating the InfoPath generated email with the actual InfoPath form that you would create that has all the information filled out by the user already.

To actually format the email itself for the submit email adapter you would have to write custom code to format an email message and the form might need to be Full Trust.

However, if you don't use the submit email adapter and just have the user click File::Send to Mail Recipient, then the email sent actually has a snapshot of the form in the body of the email message. This then shows all the selections that are on the view. It's maybe not formatted the way you want but it is all the information. Hope this helps.
