    redirection error http://www.w3.org

On my SBS 2003 server when I try to open any of my Infopath documents I get Infopath cannot open the form "The form template is attempting to redirect itself to a different and potentially unsafe domain. The form template is accessed through a redirection for a different domain" and it will not open. (The same file opens fine on my laptop which is not joined to a domain.)

If I take the xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" out of the form, then it will open on the server. I tried addinghttp://www.w3.org to my trusted sites and that didn't work. It looks like the www.w3.org code is a common name space but I do not see where anyone else has had this problem.

If anyone knows how to resolve, please let me know.

    Hi Carrieh,
We need some more information from you. It sounds like you have a cross-domain issue. InfoPath will not allow people to open documents on a separate domain as this is a security violation unless the other domain is trusted.

What information do you need? The SBS 2003 is our only AD domain and has a .local domain name. We have the local companyweb and our Intranet/external web domains. The infopath documents/templates were uploaded from a laptop not joined to a domain. All the documents and templates should be stored on that same server we are trying to open them from.

Let me know if you need any other information.

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

    Hi again,
How were the forms "uploaded"? My guess is that they were not *published* to the server. In other words, the xsn still has references to the local machine in which it was created. Download the form to your local computer again and try to file->publish it to the server. Then, try to open it by clicking on the xsn file that you published. If this still reproduces the problem, you may have a data connection defined on load that is going cross domain, but my guess is the form wasn't published correctly. Good luck!
