    webservice and data types

    Hi!

    I developed a webservice that returns a XMLDocument to InfoPath. Such a XMLDocument may be:

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    - <workitem>
    <additionalNote />
    <cancel />
    <companyCarPrivateUse>0</companyCarPrivateUse>
    <fromDate />
    <fromType>1</fromType>
    <hourRegistration />
    <note />
    <starterName />
    <starterToken />
    <substitude1approved />
    <substitude1edit />
    <substitude1task>Postfach leeren</substitude1task>
    <substitude1token />
    <substitude2approved />
    <substitude2edit />
    <substitude2task />
    <substitude2token />
    <substitude3approved />
    <substitude3edit />
    <substitude3task />
    <substitude3token />
    <substitude4approved />
    <substitude4edit />
    <substitude4task />
    <substitude4token />
    <substitude5approved />
    <substitude5edit />
    <substitude5task />
    <substitude5token />
    <supervisor />
    <supervisorApproved />
    <toDate />
    <toType>1</toType>
    <urgent />
    <vacationAddress />
    <vacationDuration />
    <vacationEntitlement />
    <vacationRemainingDays />
    <vacationTaken />
    <userToken>SEW</userToken>
    </workitem>

    The webservice is my primary data source. Now I need some of these fields to be an "int" or a "boolean", but InfoPath recognizes all of them as string and disables the drop down field to change this value. How can I change this, so that some of these fields are no strings but other data types?

    Best regards,
    Sebastian

    You can directly edit the schema of the connection and change them to be some other datatypes.

    Hi!

    The form is signed with a certificate.
    How can I change the schema without extracting the files?

    Best regards,
    Sebastian

    If you want to change Schema for a schema which is created by a webservice connection, you cannot change the schema without extracting the files because Schema gets locked when it is prepared by an outside entity other than InfoPath.
