    Problem using retreive-submit webservice

    Hi, i have the next problem:

    I have a form did use a webservice with two methods(retreive-submit)
    passing of a dataset back and forth.

    When i send my form to my submit method this send all datafields information putting on my form except the ID field because this is identity in my sql table. The process do it fine!.

    But when my process above is finish the ID field in my form still yet without a value and when i try to modify infopath ask me retrieve data again from my primary conexion.

    Well, i try doing a new rule for requery my primary datasource sending a parameter to bring data again, and works fine, because bring all data including the ID but this create a new problem in my infopath xml because the elements are showing twice!!

    Why? how can resolve this problem?
    someone has work with that?

    Hi Fred,
    Interesting problem. You need to have a submit/retrieve data connection for your main data source. Is it currently just submit?

    Re: Problem using retreive-submit webservice

    I have a submit/retrieve data connection as a main data source.

    Really my problem is back the identity id generated when data is inserted with the submit webservice.
    I did a second data source that select max(id) from table,
    and i put this data as parameter in my retrieve webservice(main data source) and i put a button to do a query, but
    when i send my document to sharepoint it has a structure like this:

    <dfs:queryFields>
    <s0:RetrieveData>
    <s0:id>105</s0:id>
    </s0:RetrieveData>
    </dfs:queryFields>
    <dfs:dataFields>
    <RetrieveDataResponse xmlns="http://tempuri.org/SrvSecorData/Compromisos">
    <RetrieveDataResult>
    <NewDataSet xmlns="">
    <Compromisos xmlns:diffgr="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-diffgram-v1" diffgr:id="Compromisos1" xmlns:msdata="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-msdata" msdata:rowOrder="0" xmlns:ct="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/changeTracking" ct:OKOZ-m="0">
    <idcompromiso>105</idcompromiso>
    <idtipooriginador>3</idtipooriginador>
    </Compromisos>
    </NewDataSet>
    <_xdns0:originalData
    xmlns:_xdns0="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/changeTracking" xmlns:ct="http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/infopath/2003/changeTracking" ct:idCount="3" ct:idName="OKOZ-m">
    <NewDataSet xmlns="">
    <Compromisos xmlns:diffgr="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-diffgram-v1" diffgr:id="Compromisos1" xmlns:msdata="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:xml-msdata" msdata:rowOrder="0" ct:OKOZ-m="0">
    <idcompromiso>105</idcompromiso>
    <idtipooriginador>3</idtipooriginador>
    </Compromisos>
    </NewDataSet>
    </_xdns0:originalData>
    </RetrieveDataResult>
    </RetrieveDataResponse>
    </dfs:dataFields>
    </dfs:myFields>

    check the <_xdns0:originalData tag.
    why duplicate my data?

    Re: Problem using retreive-submit webservice

    Some thing more, i did a test bringing the id generated (max(id)) after use my submit method and sent my document to sharepoint but when i edit again my document and i try to change some value infopath ask me again to connect to my main data source, well, i execute a query to principal data source and let me change but, duplicate value in my xml again.

    Some thing in my mind tell me, be patience padawan young, pls some advise.
