Repeating Table Values to SQL Database

    Hi : A newbie question
I am working on this project that requires me to update a sql database with all the information collected from a repeating table.
I have a SQL web service that works fine to the extent of just updating the first row of the repeating table but it doesn't update the subsequent entries.

The repeating table has 7 fields and I am mapping each of those fields to the SQL Web Service as a submit value. (During creation of the the data source)

What should I do differently to make the web service intelligent enough to update the table with all that is entered in the Repeating table as multiple rows.

Please feel free to email [email protected].

Re: Repeating Table Values to SQL Database

    Hi

I find it helpful in these scenarios to think about how I would create a datasource for this and to me this would mean I have 6 fields in the master table and the 7th field is in a daughter table in a one-to-many relationship.  This would give you the repeating structure.  Your current web service just sees field 7 as one field in the master table and it is hence incapable of repeating in the manner you wish.

Any further questions about the syntax to use are best not directed to me but other than that I am here to help.

    Cheers Adam
