    SOAP Error when open infopath form

    I having an error message as below when user try to click on "Fill Out Form" on the share point portal that i created.

    ==========================================================
    Form template: http://server1/sites/abd/abc_Form/Forms/template.xsn
    The following DataObject either cannot be created or cannot be initialized: site
    The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: site
    InfoPath cannot run the specified query.
    The SOAP response indicates that an error occurred on the server:

    Server was unable to process request. --> The root element is missing.
    ==========================================================

    But the error gone if the user has the "administrator" right of the share point portal. Could anyone tell me how i solved this? What is the root caused of this error.

    Your help is highly appreciated!!

    Hi Kssaw,
    The reason it failed is, other user who is trying to access the webservice dint have permissions on that site. So the error message returned will be in some other form(most probably html) which is not a valid XML.

    Once you have administrator privileges you are able to access the data and you dint get the error message

    Re: SOAP Error when open infopath form

    Agni,

    Thanks for your prompt feedback. Is it any possible way for a normal user (not pose any administrator right) to fill out the form without this type of error.

    I am doing so becasue of the user right restriction onto the share point. Will this be solved if i allowed full trusted on the web services calling?

    I have tried to create another new simple form (without any web services or code behind) and upload to the share point and i still getting the same error.

    Your advise is highly appreciated.
