    View filtering problem in SharePoint

    Hi friends,

I have promoted a field called "NextUser" from InfoPath to SharePoint.
This "NextUser" field contains the "Domain\Employee ID" and is a text field.

I have another lookup column called "NextUser_Lookup" which points to "NextUser" column.

I use NextUser_Lookup only to convert the "Domain\Employee ID" to a lookup field so that I can manipulate my views using filter.

I have a view in SharePoint.I have given a filter for this view such that the user can only view forms sent to him.

So an employee should be able to view a form only if his EmployeeID in the NextUser_Lookup field matches the SharePoint login.

So the view filtering that I have given is
    Show the items when column
    NextUser_Lookup is equal to [Me]

    But the issue is...
When I add the Employee ID(SharePoint userlogin) of employees individually to the User's List, this view filtering works fine.

But if I add all the users of the organization in one shot using ...
    NT Authority\Authenticated Users
this view filtering does not work.

Problem is that having thousands of employees in my organization,I cannot add each employee individually to the SharePoint User List.

Any alternate solution to solve this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Abhsihek

    Hi Abhsihek,

since you say the filter works with some id's but not others, it sounds like an encoding/escaping issue to me.

if you dont have more than one domain, try and omit the domain part of the login.

if you do have more than one domain (and hence the userid isnt unique) try and escape the backslash.

One solution might be to have code that calls the Sharepoint web service usergroup.asmx to add users.

    Hi Abhishek,
Did you look at our HowTo on the using SharePoint loginnames with InfoPath forms?
