The File Attachment field has a property "Allow the user to browse, delete, and replace files" check box. I have 2 versions of the same File Attachment field in my form (one that is enabled for this feature and one that is disabled); however, both versions of this field allow changes. I use show/hide to display the appropriate version of the field. If the field contains a file, the options for both (when clicked) are Remove, Download, Replace, and Cancel. If the field is empty, the option is the same for both versions of the field (Click here to attach a file). Thoughts?

Is this in FormsViewer? Or InfoPath Forms Services (SharePoint)? If FormsViewer, what version are you on? At one point we did not support this setting, but now we do. Checking the release notes, it looks like this was implemented in version 7.4.

We are on 7.3, but considering the HUGE effort it takes to get an upgrade at my company, I'll just live with it until there is a version update that warrants getting the server team and IT Security involved. Thanks for the info.
