I’m facing an issue with a form. Currently when I click an email notification button, it is sending emails to people who were initially added to the form field s but have since been replaced by correct people. It is causing issues as the old version people are receiving the emails, not the new updated ones. Please assist.

So much depends on what your button does. Like - perhaps the email addresses were set the first time the form was created, so the existing XML have the old email addresses, but new ones have new addresses.... I suppose another possibility would be that you are using InfoPath filler forms and the template hasn't updated. Feel free to attach a copy of your XSN under the options tab in a reply and give me some hints as to which button has the issue and I may be able to provide better guidance.

Sorry for the late reply. Just revisiting this issue. Basically the email button is linked to a field in the form which is linked to outlook directory. We are not using InfoPath filler form for this, only InfoPath designer. Unfortunately I can’t attach the template as I am restricted through work to attach any company related information. The button is fine if the user has not made any changes to the name field which is basically who the email is sent to. Once they update the name, that’s when the issue occurs where any email triggered is sent to still the first entered person. Let me know if you’re still able to assist. Many thanks!
