I have a list library and when I edit the item, I would like to update the 'name' and save it as a new list item. Can this be done through a customized form? Reply Contact If I recall correctly there isn't a way to "reset" a list form so it will submit another new item. The work around is to set up the form to submit multiple items, and then use some formatting & rules for setting the common fields all at once. Here is a thread that talks a bit about this approach: https://www.infopathdev.com/forums/t/30871.aspx Hilary Stoupa 07-10-2023 02:35 PM In reply to geebr200 Joined on 07-07-2023 Posts 2 Re: Editing record but Save As New Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact So I can't clone a record and save as new item? For instance, I populated an record with data one day. The next day I updated the records details but want to save this as a new item. 07-10-2023 02:42 PM In reply to Hilary Stoupa Joined on 06-20-2008 Posts 13,297 Re: Editing record but Save As New Mark as Not AnswerMark as Answer... Reply Contact To the best of my knowledge, if you are working with list forms, the answer is no. If this is a library form, the answer is yes.
