Hi, I was wondering is it possible for drop down list with manual input to auto populate the field after typing some characters that are in a value in the drop down options? The reason i ask this is that i will have 1000s of values in the drop down list. This feature would make life a lot easier for the end user.

 Unfortunately, InfoPath doesn't support this.... in a dropdown, however, if you start clicking on the first letter of the word, it will take you to that general vicinity ... You could also use a second field as a sort of a filter. I'm attaching a simple sample - save it locally, right click and select design, then preview. The translate function could be used for case insensitive comparison - I didn't bother with that for a quick sample.
