 I need to change the source of the data used to populate the attached IP form, but I cannot get in edit mode, suggestions?

This is an XML file, not an XSN? What are you trying to do? If you need to use a different template to open it, you can either manually change the href, or if it is in a SharePoint library, you can relink it....
