InfoPath Dev

I want to create a button on my form which runs an exe.I think I can do this by doing Shell "$:\MyPath\My.exe".

Is it possible to use the shell command in infopath and if so is it possible to detect the application path in order to determine teh exe path without hard coding it?

Hi Kay,
You can do this but it will require full trust and that is a bad practice since it complicates deployment. Check out the InfoPath SDK for the correct execution command as it varies depending on the language your form uses.
