Hi

I have created an Employee Report(EmployeeReport.XSN) using InfoPath tool. In preview mode or opening the xml template, I need to get the username of the system. To assign this value to, one of the fields called user-id in the Employee Report Form.

Please help me on that, how to get the username(login-id) of the System by using InfoPath?.

Hi

I am having a similar problem and have read every thread on this site on on some others but i still cannot get a username.

I have a text box called "name" and all i want is the Username in this box. Could someone please provide me with the code to do this as i am at a wall and have no idea how to continue.

That gives you all of the information you need. It works great, but you have to have C# in order to get it to work.

There is another solution on that same thread using an ActiveX component, but the hangup there is your document must be digitally signed in order for it to work.
