InfoPath Dev

I was wondering if you could help me with this? I have a 2010 form, with the Qdabra Submit to SharePoint list function, that retrieves data from a SharePoint 2010 list called Action Tracker. The InfoPath form has been running perfectly for the last year. However since the new year I get the following error message when a new form is opened: The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: Action Tracker InfoPath cannot run the specified query. Unspecified error A review of the form showed that nothing has been altered within the code or the mapping it just refuses to run. Any help would be much appreciated

If you preview the form, does the query run? Is this a bowser or filler form? If you create a new form and add a data connection to the Action Tracker list, do you have any issues?

The query runs in preview and it's a filler form. When I created a new form with a data connection to the action tracker list it worked.

I forgot to mention that the action tracker query is used to fill out two fields within the form using the following Formulas; Field 1 = ActioneeResponse[ID = current()/../ActionID] Field 2 = ActionCloseOutDate[ID = current()/../ActionID]

So - it works in preview, but when you open the published form from its published location in filler, it fails? That is odd. Does it fail in both existing and new forms? If you publish your test form and open that in filler, does it fail? What about removing the template from your cache - can you go to InfoPath Filler > New, find the form, right click and select either Get Update or Remove? Still get the error when opening from the published location?

I published the test form and it worked. Although I did get a MS security message about accessing external sources with a yes / no option. The form with the issue doesn't display that message. I'm wondering if MS security is blocking the connection without showing the message. As to removing the template from the cache. I get an action failed when I run it.

I think the next thing I would do is take the test form and inject it with qRules - republish and see what happens when you open it in Filler - does the data connection still succeed? Be sure you update the cached template for the test form. EDITED TO ADD - what do you mean by "I get an action failed when I run it" - is that an error message? Same error message as before?

Ignore the action failed, I've just run it again and the get update to form worked this time. I tried updating and removing the template from the cache but the issue is still there. I also received the MS security message this time so it can't be the cause of the problem

So, sorry, at this point I'm a little confused. Did you try also injecting your test form w/ qRules & republishing it to see if the error reproduces in it?
