I have created a multi-part (Yes, No, NA), checkbox inspection form. There are more checkboxes than allowed form fields. Is it possible to create a user initiated - based on whether or not a deficiency was discovered - section or table, in which is a dropdown box that will allow you to choose for a sorted list of parts, that will than auto-populate the part description, leaving the user a blank 'Deficiency Description Field', which they have to fill in manually? And, have this section or table appear as many times as is necessary to address all deficiencies noted.
Part and part description information is already a SP list (the same list). I am already able to create a repeating section that allows me to choose the Part, which then auto-populates then Part Description. My issue is one a choose to add a 'new item', the data entered above replicates in the new section. What I need is a clean new section from which the user can choose another Part number with another Part description and add a new deficiency description; and, due this as many times as is necessary.
Any thoughts?
Example of form question configuration. I have created a web based form that needs to have a section or table from which the user can Choose Part 1 below from a dropdown; this action would auto-populate the question (shown below), in the Part description field - so, the user know the right question is being addressed. Both these things I can already do. What I can't do is the later, more than once - the data just duplicates is I using a repeating section.
Thank you,
