2 DDLs: strange item (dis)appears in the 2nd DDL!?

I'll try to sketch my problem:

I've two drop down lists (ddl). When the first ddl is changed the second should be filled with some values. The filling is no problem anymore, but the first item in the second ddl is the name (e.g. guid) of the first selected item.

If I select one item in the second (wrongly) filled ddl, this name suddenly disappears!

This happens not for the first time (when ddl 1 is changed) but for all other OnChange-Events later.

The xml data source behind the second ddl is totally empty when I debug my code. There's no item 'name' or something like that, that could appear in the second ddl.

Any hints and tips? Thanks a lot in further!

    Hello Kun,
One question that I have for you is – Are you clearing the values from second ddl when the value in first ddl is changed? Have you gone through this tutorialhttp://www.infopathdev.com/howto/tutorials/default.aspx?i=4e038a7f3f5b443bbe4db49f86d95fba which talks about two or more list boxes where the choices dependant on value of other and also how to clear the values when value in one list box is changed

    Hope this helps!

Yes, the second xml data source is cleared and empty!

I've seen this tutorial but this is useless for me because data filtering is not supported in browser enabled forms. The form should be rendered with the FormsServer in a browser!
