How can I replicate the same DropDown options on multiple DropDown boxes in same form?

Hi, in the form that I'm creating, I need to have the same drop down options several times on different dropdown boxes. If I copy paste, then the dropdown list gives me a (Control Stores Duplicate Data) message; in my case, I cannot have this, each drop down box needs to have a different options from the user. I have not found a way to be able to replicate the options; there are 40 options and manually, it's simply too much to do. There are posts about having an external sharepoint list, this is not an option for me, I need the info in the form, nowhere else. I tried "Get Choices from Fields in this form" thinking this would make it look at the first dropdown and use the same options, but I get a "you must select a repeating group or field" error. Is there no solution here? I find this horribly stupid that one can't copy the options alone and have a different control on the box. Anyone have any ideas or hacks, I would appreciate it! TY

Just use an XML file in the form. Create an XML file with your 40 options - add it to the form as a resource file - create a data connection to the XML file - use that as the data source for your various drop downs.
