I'm having trouble wrapping my head around this issue and I hope someone can help me out.
I have several SharePoint lists that allow users to register for classes in different cities (each list for each city). I have created a re-usable workflow that sends an email to that person's manager for approval and I'm trying to edit the Task form for the approval to include details of the registration. These details reside on a "master list" to which I have created a Data Connection to on the Infopath approval task form, however, I cannot seem to relate the corresponding city to each list. There are no related values, the list where a user register's contains only his information and any user can register to a class (10k+ ppl) and the list with class information only contains details for that class.
I'm guessing I need a key of some sort of key, but it would have to be created as the user creates a new item when he registers... just don't know if I can preset the value in the registration form (infopath form). Sorry if this is more of a SharePoint question. Appreciate the help
