    Verify Expression Box Before Submission

    Hello,
I'm new to posting in the forum and Infopath. I am developing an employee time keeping form for my department and have found this site very helpful. I was wondering if anyone could assist me in completing it.

Basically I have a repeating table so that users can fill in a daily attendace record. There is another repeating table below it for personal time off. At the bottom of the form I have an expression box to sum up the total hours from the two tables. The calculations are working correctly but I need to make sure the total equals 37.5 hours when they hit the submit button. If it is less than, a message should come up telling the person they are short and the form will not be allowed to submit.

If it does equal 37.5 or more, it should submit without any messages or further interaction from the user.

    sum(my:timeEntries/my:timeEntry/my:totalHours) + sum(my:group3/my:group4/my:LeaveTotalHours)

    Thank you!

Expression boxes do not store values. If you need to store the value, use a Text box with a default value formula.

If you need your submit button to verify that the value in the expression box equals a certain number, then you will need to repeat the expression in your button condition.
