    Another How to Submit IP2010 Repeating Table Rows to SP2010 List ... Question

    Several days ago I found the "Codeless submitting InfoPath repeating table to a SharePoint list" thread on this forum. For me, it was hard to follow however here is what I have done so far: (From Submitting Data from InfoPath 2007 to a SharePoint List post...) 1. Created a SharePoint List (TempList). Fields are Title(text), ItemDt(date), ItemType(text), Item Cost(currency). 2. Create the CAML xml file (below) and save on SP site. 3. Created SharePoint Library (ExpLibrary) with InfoPath 2010 form. a. Fields are FileName (default value TempList GUID), a group with field totallines and a repeating table. Those fields are title, date, type, cost, tableline, submittrigger, submittedid. 4. Add Data Connections. a. SharePoint Library Submit – default submit to Library in #3. b. Temp List Receive – secondary data source to List in #1. c. TempListCAML - points to CAML file from #2. d. Web Service Submit - blabla/_vti_bin/lists.asmx using UpdateListItems. Listname = FileName in #3a; updates = /Batch (from #4c) including XML subtree, including selected element. Then I opened a working form that was attached to a response in the “Codeless submitting InfoPath repeating table to a SharePoint list” thread. 5. Added rules to submittrigger field from #3a. a. SubmitLine - if SubmitTrigger = TableLine and Submittedid is blank, set field value to…… b. SetSubmittedRecordID- if SubmitTrigger = TableLine and Submittedid is blank, set fields value ID = “ ”, Query TempList Receive, Set field value SubmittedID = max(ID) c. incrementSubmitTrigger – if SubmitTrigger

    (Part 4) 6. Added rules to Sub id field from #3a. a. ReQueryDataConnection – when field changes set field’s value ID =. Query TempList Receive. b. DecrementIDIfNotCorrectRecord – If Title not equal Title and Cost not equal ItemCost set fields value:.=.-1 7. Added SUBMIT button to the page. a. Added rule that onclick set fields value SubmitTrigger = 1, submit using SharePoint Library Submit, Close the form. Ok. So now I can add a record to my ExpLibray and a new item is added to the TempList for each row I enter in the repeating table.

     Hi - I can see the forum is hashing your formatting to death - it does that to me in some browsers too. Even reading your text attachment, I'm still puzzled as to what your question is? I think you are saying the type and cost aren't being submitted to your SharePoint List, and you expect them to be?

     Hey - I took a look at your form. Your TempListCAML data connection is to an XML resource file in your form, it only has two columns in it. Title & ItemDt. That's why only those two columns are getting populated.

    Hillary.. I really hope they pay you loads!!  You always pull me out of the ditch...   I didnt resave my form.. gah!  So now I did.  I have broken something else.  Let me walk through it all again.  This has been very painful.  Going to try to insert my original post.

    Several days ago I found the "Codeless submitting InfoPath repeating table to a SharePoint list" thread on this forum. For me, it was hard to follow however here is what I have done so far:

    (From Submitting Data from InfoPath 2007 to a SharePoint List post...)

    1. Created a SharePoint List (TempList). Fields are Title(text), ItemDt(date), ItemType(text), Item Cost(currency).

    2. Create the CAML xml file (below) and save on SP site.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

    <Batch OnError="Continue">

    <Method ID="1" Cmd="New">

    <Field Name='Title'></Field>

    <Field Name="ItemDt"></Field>

    <Field Name="ItemType"></Field>

    <Field Name="ItemCost"></Field>

    </Method>

    </Batch>

    Then I opened a working form that was attached to a response in the "Codeless submitting InfoPath repeating table to a SharePoint list" thread.

    5. Added rules to submittrigger field from #3a.

    a. SubmitLine - if SubmitTrigger = TableLine and Submittedid is blank, set field value to……

    b. SetSubmittedRecordID- if SubmitTrigger = TableLine and Submittedid is blank, set fields value ID = " ", Query TempList Receive, Set field value SubmittedID = max(ID)

    c. incrementSubmitTrigger – if SubmitTrigger < TotalLines, set a field’s value .=count(..) + 1.

    Could not figure out how to set field values for #5a to Field[@Name = "ItemDt"] = Date. So then I used "Hilary Stoupa – Manually modify manifest.xsf to Filter the Target of a Rule"…. And modified my manifest file so now fields are set to Field[@Name = "Title"] = Title, Field[@Name = "ItemDt"] = Date, etc.

    6. Added rules to Sub id field from #3a.

    a. ReQueryDataConnection – when field changes set field’s value ID =. Query TempList Receive.

    b. DecrementIDIfNotCorrectRecord – If Title not equal Title and Cost not equal ItemCost set fields value:.=.-1

    Where I am stumped is:

    ExpLibrary: Name=108; Date=10/8/2015; Type=Expense; Cost=$25.00

    Temp List: Title=108; ItemDt=2015-10-08 (where are type and cost??????)

    I want to come clean here and say I purchased qRules over a year ago and was not able to figure it out for my use. I watched the videos, read the instructions and blogs but just couldn't get it to work. I did read several posts where this issue is easily accomplished with qRules but my software has expired. So even though it's been as painful as home dentistry.... here I am.
