    use Qdabra to submittosharepointlist folder?

    Hello everyone,

I suspect the answer is right in front of me but I am unable to see it. I want to submit one of the repeating groups on my InfoPath form to a list folder, where the folder name is dynamically pulled from data in the form.

I have the form and all connections set up and working fine, but due to some concerns about list size and manageability we have started using folders that are created when a job is first started.

This is the latest qdabra with an InfoPath web based form library form on Office 365.

    Hints?

    Thanks,

    James

Hi - I'm not sure about this - I'll try a little experiment later today and see if I can figure out a way to do this....

Well, I don't have very good news, I'm afraid - because qRules replaces the entire Batch node in the mapping prior to submitting the batch to the SharePoint list, we can't just modify that node to include the RootFolder attribute (which is what would allow us to submit to a specific folder). I'm adding that as a feature request to our tracking database. Would workflow be an option for you? You could submit to the list with an identifier of the folder the items should go in and use workflow to move them?

Workflow is not a very elegant solution but I will use that for the time being.

I did notice it was stripping the attributes from the .xml mapping file as I did put in the RootFolder attribute with no effect. I was hoping perhaps I was missing something that you would point out.

I am glad your entering that as a feature request, and I do appreciate your response.

     Regards
