Cannot Get Completed Form to Clear and Reset

I've created form that auto-populates all fields through the completion of the Last Name field. I've included a reset report button that has a rule that clears all form fields when clicked.

This rule works, except the previous last name chosen stays in the Last Name unique field, and only it or blank can be chosen.

I need for the form to clear all fields, and the names in the Last Name drop-down field made available for a new query, as if a new form has been opened.

On-line instructions recommend the following. I'm not sure how or where to accomplish No. 2 below.

         1. Reset all query fields used to blank

         2. Reset the query ID field of the data connection used to zero

         3. Perform a query for data operation against the data source

         4. Reset the query ID field of the data connection to blank

The directions you are quoting here I think are for a form built off a database, which yours is not.

The reason the only last name available in the dropdown is the user previously selected is that you are using a specific data connection for that drop down, and then are requerying that data connection for just the selected name.

I would add another data connection to the form that is just the LastName column from the SharePoint List that you are using. Set that data connection to query on load. Change your last name drop down to use that new data connection.

Or, add a rule to your reset button that clears the query field in the data connection to the list (FF_x0020_Last_x0020_Name) and then run the query again. That should then return all the names.
