Display attached image as a live image on Infopath browser form

    Hello all,

I have created a browser enabled form in Infopath, and linked it to a list in Sharepoint.

I would like to be able to let the user attach an image using the standard 'attachment' tool, and once submitted and saved to Sharepoint to be able to re-open the form and view the image on the form.

I have thought about how this can be achieved - if I have a picture placeholder, then I should be able to set its value to the hyperlink generated by the attachment (which after submit should point to the image that has been uploaded to the Sharepoint library).

I have tried this in numerous ways, but with no luck. It seems like it should be possible, so I thought I would ask the Infopath dev community for your thoughts before I give up.

Any help will be hugely appreciated!

    Thank you

    Shaun

I've solved it. If anybody out there in internet-land is interested: 1. Select where on Infopath form you want the image displayed 2. Insert ‘image’ from controls panel 3. Right-click on the image control, and select ‘picture properties’ 4. Select the icon next to the ‘XPath’ field 5. Select ‘show advanced view’ 6. Select ‘+’ next to the ‘Attachments’ folder, and select ‘:attachmentURL’ 7. Click ‘OK’ 8. Click ‘OK’ 9. Save and publish the form
