Hello,
Having an issue connecting to the ExcelService.asmx web service on SP 2013. I've read this InfoPath.dev article on cross domain issues and this one as well since it was similar looking for a resolution. So far, I don't see where I'm going wrong.
I have an IP 2010 browser enabled template that has a single purpose: update a single cell in an Excel workbook on SharePoint (on the same server... in the same doc library). If you can't tell, it's that way for testing :)
When I created my template, I added 3 data connections all SOAP web service of type receive: Openworkbook for editing, Set Cell A1, Closeworkbook
In the client, I created the data connections standard (no UDCX files) and tested that the parameters for wb path, sessionID, cell range, cell value, sheet name all worked. They do perfectly. Then I created a data connection library on the same SharePoint server, returned to the template and converted the data connections to Connection Files and placed them there. I'm the administrator, so the files IP created would already be approved, but I did confirm. I also confirmed that in Central Administration "Allow Cross Domain Access for User Form Templates" box was checked. I have since published the template to SharePoint as a content type, browser enabled. When I use the template in the browser I get the standard "An Error Occurred Querying a Datasource" message. If I open the template from SharePoint in filler, it works fine provided I use the published template... it stops working in preview after I convert to UDCX files for whatever reason.
There isn't any authentication information in the UDCX files so I don't have the "Allow user form templates to use authentication information contained in data connection files" box checked in Central Admin...not sure If this is necessary or not.
Am I missing something? From what I can see I have all the requirements met.... any help would be amazing.
