     Hi,

    I am able to use FormLoad event to autopopulate the login user info to the name picker field and related user info fields. This part works fine.

    But the requirement is to allow user to use the name picker to pick a different person thus all the user info fields should be updated with the newly selected person.

    I added a new data connection, created a 'GetInfo' button, and added actions to the button to populate the userinfo fields. Can't see how name picker can trigger actions.

    I selected a different user in the Name Picker, then clicked on ‘GetInfo’ button.

    The name picker now has the new user name but the userinfo fields don't change, still the login user's profile info. 

    Seems like the newly selected userinfo is not passed to the 2nd data connection.

     Please assist. Kindly appreciate.

    Hi MWAN001,

    There is no need to add a new data connection for the GetUserProfileByName web service. You may re-use the initial data connection, populate the user account query field with the selected user, and run the query. This should now populate the fields with the desired data. If this does not work for you, kindly attach a sample of your form so I could investigate your form and determine what isn't working for you.

    Thanks for looking.

    The FormLoad automatically populated the logon user in the Name Picker control. I then selected a different user with the name picker.

    I clicked on GetInfo button after the new user was populated but the userinfo fields, employee email address, phone number, division still showed the logon user data. 

    How could I pass the new username/accout name to the query? Seems this part is broken.

    Hi MWAN001,

    I am unable to determine the error without knowing how your form's logic works. Would you be able to attach a copy of your form so I could take a quick look?

    Thanks for your help.

    The new form works. Please advise what changes you made and where.

    I didn't see code change in FormLoad actions and the GetInfo button actions.

    Another scary thing is Some Rules not applied when I tried to submit the form.

    Hi,

    If you check the original form attached, the AccountId being set was not the query field for the GetUserProfile data connection. Kindly check the first action I modified on the Get Info button.

    As for the rules which did not apply upon submit, may I know which rules you are pertaining to? I can only see one action rule at the submit button before it submits.

     Yes.. I got it after checking the AcountID field in the GetInfo button. Now it works!! Thanks so much!

    Now got the some rules not applie error that indicates some validation fail but didn't have details about which rules or validation failed.

    All fields have been filled in correctly. Not sure which rules cause the issue?

    Hi,

    Could you check the field SuspisicousActivityType? This field seems to be required, but it is not displayed on the canvas.

    Probably the userinfo fields not populated is caused by the security settings.

    In order to use the web service, need to have full control permission while now I have domain (by default) permission.
