Retrieving value from secondary data connection into text box

    Hi All,

I am new to InfoPath 2010 and SharePoint 2010 have been trying to get this to work for  a day and a half now and nothing that I can find online has worked for me.

I have a form, ChangeRecord that gets passed a serviceTicketID via a URL query string filter to a text box (working fine).

This form has a data connection to receive data from a sharepoint list, ServiceTickets  (~10,000 items) with the fields Title and ID selected. Store a copy of data in the form template is unchecked and automatically retrieve data when form is opened is unchecked (if this is checked, when it runs it throws a 'The amount of data that was returned by a data connection has exceeded the maximum limit that was configured by the server administrator.' error)

I am trying to use the serviceTicketID to search the sharepoint list ID field and set a Title field (text box) on the ChangeRecord form to the corresponding Title of the ServiceTicket.

I am trying to do this with an action rule when serviceTicketID 'is not blank', running a 'set field value' action to set the Title field. This is working as I can set an arbitrary value to the text box but cant get my filters to return anything.

I have tried the following that I have found on multiple forums and none seem to work:

    • Setting the field to Title, setting the value to ServiceTickets>myFields>dataFields>d:SharepointListItem_RW>Title flitted on serviceTicketID = ID
    • Setting the field to Title, setting the value to Eval(Eval(ServiceTickets>myFields>dataFields>d:SharepointListItem_RW flitted on serviceTicketID = ID, 'concat(d:Title, ";")'), "..")
    • Setting the field to ServiceTickets>myFields>dataFields>d:SharepointListItem_RW>ID, setting the value to serviceTicketID, then Query ServiceTickets data connection, then Setting the field to Title, setting the value to ,ServiceTickets>myFields>dataFields>d:SharepointListItem_RW>Title

I assume I am messing up my query but cant seem to find anything different to what I have already tried.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Karl
