Hopefully an easy question - URGENT

I want to be able to submit my data to a list via my infopath 2010 form and I want to edit via the default sharepoint form.   Is there a way to do it?  I know you can switch between the 2 in form options, but it is all or nothing.   I used XML to allow me to do multiple list items at a time (https://salnikan.wordpress.com/2013/10/16/inserting-multiple-list-items-at-once-into-a-sharepoint-list/) this is what I used.  Problem is when I go to edit a list item any of the items I use XML for are blank, but I can see the data in the list.   I hope there is an easy answer to this as I got thrown into this and I am ready to complete it.

    Hi Adrian,

I'm not sure how your SharePoint custom form is set up so I'd like to ask if your form already has logic and a data connection to query the same SharePoint list using a filter. If so, then what you need to do next is to set the values from the secondary data connection to the main fields. Hope this was clear enough. Let me know if this helps.
