Check a People Picker Field Against the Contents of a SharePoint List

    Hi All,

Have a problem I can't get my head round, hopefully you can help. I have created a new mobile phone authorisation form where the user enters their name, the name of their Department head and the name of their Division head and authorisation workflows start on the basis of this. The name and Department head name fields are both people pickers but the Division head field is a dropdown list linked by a data connection to a SharePoint list.

The issue is where a Department or Division Head submits a form - I don't want the authorisation process to start as they can authorise the phone purchase themselves. For the Department Head field (people picker) this is simple as I can check that the user's job title contains Department Head and use a rule to set the Department Head field. The problem is with Divisional Heads as this isn't a job title so doesn't appear in their profile anywhere, hence needing to store their names in a list and present them as a dropdown. So on the basis on the user's Name field I need to check through a the SharePoint list of Divisional heads and if they appear in that list populate the Divisional Heads field with their name.

Any suggestions?? Have been going round in circles with this....

    Thanks in advance.
    Paul
