Hi,
I'm having an issue at present with InfoPath 2010 and using Rules.
I am creating a Form in order to track users Holiday requests. Among others my Repeating Table has a Balance Field and a Check Box field in order to cancel a Holiday - the Check Box control has a formatting Rule (to highlight red and striketrhough the fields) and an Action Rule to recalcualte the Balance Field now that a Holiday has been cancelled. It took me some time to set up my Rules to correctly recalcualte the Balance of the Repeating Fields where the Check Box was unticked, but I finally worked it out.
This all works great when I Preview my Form but not once I open it in the Browser on the live Site. In Preview the Balance field automatically recalculates as soon as I tick the Check Box. In the Browser the field doesn't recalculate until I add a new row to the Repeating Table. I don't know any code and am self taught when it comes to InfoPath so I'm far from an expert on how it all works. I assume it may be something to do with the OnChange event though? Is this set to update automatically in the Client but isn't triggered in the Browser until a new Row is inserted?
I have changed the Postback Settings to Always for my Controls but this doesn't appear to make a difference. The obvious answer here would be to then set the Form to open in the Client instead of the Browser but if I do that I then have a seperate issue with Form Load Rules - which isn't an issue when opened in the Browser.
Does anyone know if it's possible to have the Repeating Table/Balance Field update as soon as the Check Box is ticked, or offer any guidence as to why this doesn't work in the Browser but does in the Client?
Many thanks
