Content Type Form - Repeating and Non-Repeating columns

     Hi there,

I have a workflow created in SPD 2013 that has a "Collect Data from User" action.   So, a content type is created in the task list IT Stock details which has the following columns:-

    • IT Stock Approval (choice)
    • Computer Type (choice)
    • Computer Serial (choice)
    • IT Additional Comments

This may be ambitious, but I want to create an InfoPath form for this content type with Computer Type and Computer Serial being in a repeating table hopefully with the idea that these repeating items will be created in another separate list.  So, I tried that but unfortunately all the fields are in a repeating table/section.

So, I managed to move those fields out of the repeating section but then I get the error below.

So, firstly, is it possible to have repeating and non-repeating columns in a list content type form - and - update the other list with individual list items for each repeating item.  I don't have a lot of exposure to code so any guidance would be appreciated.

Re: Content Type Form - Repeating and Non-Repeating columns

Sorry, I had trouble attaching a picture.  The error is - The selected control cannot store data correctly, because it is not in the correct repeating section or repeating table.  You can do one of the following:  Move the control into the correct repeating section or repeating table.  In the Fields task pane, move the field to which the control is bound into a non-repeating group

Unfortunately, I am unable to create a non-repeating group.
